The total cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria reached 541 after 10 new cases were confirmed during the night, the head of the national task force, Major-General, Prof. Dr. Mutafchiyski, said at the daily briefing on April 6.
One more patient, a man at the age of 72, died in the town of Peshtera. He had a number of underlying diseases.
The number of medical staff who tested positive for the virus is now 30, accounting to 5.5% of all confirmed cases in the country. These include 17 doctors, 8 nurses and 5 other medical staff. Four were confirmed on return from a holiday abroad, 4 are persons that were in contact with them, the rest 22 contracted the virus during work.
210 Covid-19 patients are in hospitals, 22 are intubated.
