Total coronavirus cases in Bulgaria reaches 477, death toll rises to 12

Two more people in Bulgaria have died from the Covid-19 illness: an 81-year-old man from Stara Zagora and a 58-year-old man who was in Pirogov emergency hospital in Sofia, the national task force said on April 3. The total deaths are now 12.

The most recent cases of coronavirus confirmed in the country are 28, thus bringing the total to 477. 30 persons have recovered.

Two more MPs have tested positive for the virus, in addition to the first case, Hassan Ademov, whose wife also tested positive.

The most recent coronavirus cases include 21 people in Sofia, 2 in Plovdiv, 2 in Smolyan, one in Bourgas, one in Kardzhali and one in Veliko Turnovo.

One more doctor has been infected thus the total number of medical staff with coronavirus is now 21.

Twenty men and ten women have recovered so far. The latest discharges from hospitals are 3 patients from the Military Medical Academy in Sofia, one from the hospital in the town of Peshtera and one from Plovdiv. The youngest person who recovered from the illness is at the age of 27, the oldest is 80. The average age of the recovered is 47.

179 of the cases are in hospitals, 20 of them are intubated.
