PM held a meeting with the Task force to discuss Covid-19 situation in Bulgaria

The Prime Minister Boyko Borissov held a working meeting with the National Task Force against Coronavirus on July 3 to discuss the current epidemic situation with the spread of COVID-19 in Bulgaria and the measures to maintain the readiness of hospitals to accept and treat patients with the new virus.

Minister of Health Kiril Ananiev reported to Prime Minister Borissov that at a scheduled meeting with the Bulgarian Medical Union, an adjustment of the price of the clinical path for COVID-19 treatment would be discussed so that its funding would be adequate to the care provided by the medical teams.

The meeting will also discuss the possibility of raising the prices of all clinical paths by an amount that would cover the coronavirus test of patients on admission to hospital, regardless of the disease, and not at the expense of the patient or the medical establishments.

"We are strengthening the readiness of hospitals to treat Bulgarians with coronavirus. We must get used to living along the new disease and be prepared for the worst possible development of the situation," said Prime Minister Boyko Borissov during the meeting.

The Prime Minister ordered the Minister of Health and the Task Force to continue to closely monitor and analyze the data on morbidity in the country in order to identify the best response by our health system to protect the health and lives of the Bulgarian citizens.
