SITUATION IN KAZANLAK GETTING BACK TO NORMAL AFTER FLOODINGS

All necessary measures have been undertaken to prevent the river from flooding, BNT correspondent said on 27th of May.

The days of heavy rainfall continues to keep the residents in the flooded regions vigilant. The rainfall during the night did not cause more damages.

The situation in the town of Kazanlak is getting back to normal. After the torrential downpours over the recent days, Stara Reka river burst its banks and flooded streets, washed out several bridges in the town and the village of Elina. Farmyards in several villages were flooded. Residents of Kazanlak say they have not seen the river so full for 70 years.

The situation during the night on 27th of May was calm. There were no reports about overflowing inland waters in the region.
