PM Boyko Borissov remains the most popular party leader in Bulgaria, polls

The share of Bulgarians who believe that the government will serve a full term in office is increasing, according to the results of a public opinion poll conducted by Trend research centre commissioned by "24 hours" newspaper. The results of the survey show that Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and Chair of GERB party remains the most approved party leader in Bulgaria.

For a month, the number of people who are convinced that the government will serve its full term in office has gone up by 4%.

The results also show that 57% of the Bulgarians believe that Boyko Borissov's cabinet will not leave early, while 23% of those surveyed are of the opposite opinion.

According to analysts, the main reason for this is GERB's victory at the European elections. Boyko Borissov continues to be the most liked party leader with an approval rating of 36%.

The top five most liked leaders also include Krassimir Karakachanov (IMRO), Kornelia Ninova (Bulgarian Socialist Party), Vesselin Mareshki (Volya) and Tatyana Doncheva (Movement 21).

GERB’s initiative for cutting the subsidies of the political parties from BNG 11 to BGN 1 per vote is supported by 69% of the Bulgarians, but on the other hand, 14% of the respondents are against it.
