Danail Kirilov is the new justice minister. He was elected by the MPs on 5th of April with 120 votes in favour and 15 against. With the same decision, the MPs releaseed Tsetska Tsacheva from the post. Kirilov was the chair of the Parliament's Legal Affairs Committee until now.
As soon as he took the oath as minister, Danail Kirilov said he would follow the implementation of the priorities of the latest monitoring report for Bulgaria under Cooperation and Verification Mechanism.
Regarding the task assigned to him by Prime Minister Borissov, namely amendments to the Anti-Corruption Act, Kirilov explained that members of the National Association of Municipalities took part in the working group on Tuesday. The decision was that municipal councilors should submit a detailed declaration of assets.
