Long queues of vehicles hamper traffic at Kulata-Promahon border crossing
Kilometres long queues of cars and lorries formed at Kulata-Promahon border checkpoint on June 2. Lorry drivers had to wait for hours in order to cross the Bulgarian-Greek border.
About 06:00 pm, the queue was 7 km long, stretching to the near-by village of Marikostinovo.
Going through the check-up point takes 4 to 5 hours. According to drivers, the reason for the delay is that everyone is required to fill in a declaration stating he/she is not infected with Covid-19. As of June1, the Greek authorities introduced a 7-day quarantine rule for entries into the country.
