The free Tesi Tool mobile app helps children with communication problems and at risk of social exclusion. The project was developed by an international team and is being implemented in 6 countries. In Bulgaria, the pilot city is Plovdiv and the school for hearing impaired children.
Assoc. Prof. Silvia Stoyanova, Paisii Hilendarski university in Plovdiv: Its purpose is to expand the opportunities for expression of students with communication problems and to help them communicate with their parents and teachers.
The application is built on visual cues to help adults make expressions and instructions for the child. Through them, the chiled can express wishes and perform certain actions. The system helps in everyday life as well as in the educational process.
Svetlana Kudenko, teacher in geography: For the children who cannot speak, I put the names of the continents with inscriptions. They read the name of the continent with dactyls.
Nine children from the school are currently working with the app and are already showing progress.

The project is funded by the European Commission and is free to download. It already helps children in Romania, Poland, Greece, Croatia and Spain.
