Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 36 new cases confirmed, total reaches 2408
Thirty six new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours out of 1605 samples that were tested, the secretary of the national task force. Assoc. Prof. Dimo Dimov said at the daily briefing on May 23.
The total number of cases in the country is 2408.
Two more medical professionals tested positive for the virus: a doctor and a healthcare assistant from a hospital in Yambol.
258 people diagnosed with Covid-19 are in hospitals, 29 of them are in intensive care.
One person died over the past 24 hours: a 74 year old woman in Sofia. She had underlying health conditions.
The total number of fatalities is 126.
