Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 234 new cases, total rises to 7645

Two hundred and thirty four (234) new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours from 4885 PCR tests, data on the national information system shows on July 15.

The latest cases were reported in the following regions: Blagoevgrad – 19; Bourgas – 10: Varna – 2: Veliko Turnovo – 4; Vratsa – 1; Gabrovo – 1; Dobrich – 9; Kardzhali – 4; Kyustendil – 10; Lovech – 1; Pazardzhik – 5; Pernik – 3; Pleven – 2; Plovdiv – 24; Rousse – 4; Sliven – 5; Smolyan – 7; Sofia district – 11; Sofia city – 99; Stara Zagora – 6; Haskovo – 2; Shoumen – 2; Yambol – 3.

The total-lab-confirmed cases in the country to date are at 7645.

The active cases are 3699.

146 people recovered over the past 24 hours. The total recoveries since the start of the epidemic are 3663.

Out of the total, 551 people are in hospitals, 27 of them in intensive care.

The medical professionals who tested positive for coronavirus are 536. The latest cases were reported over the past 24 hours are 7, including 3 doctors, 2 nurses and 2 other medical staff.

The deaths of patients with positive results for Covid-19 are 283.

Seven Covid-19 associated deaths was reported over the past 24 hours: a 56 year old woman with heart disease and chronic kidney disease; a 81 year old woman with heart, chronic kidney and neurological diseases; a 74 year old woman with chronic lung illness; a 74 year old man with no information about underlying health conditions; a 51 year old man with diabetes and chronic lung disease; a 47 year old man with heart disease; a71 year old woman with no data for underlying health conditions.
