Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 23 new cases in 24 hours, total stands at 2004
23 new cases of coronavirus were registered in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours, for a period from 08:00 am on May 11 to 08:00 on May 12, the secretary of the task force, associate professor Dimo Dimov said at the morning briefing on May 12.
The results are from 1079 PCR tests. The total tests conducted in the country since the start of the epidemic is 58713, which is 8387 per 1 million people.
Nine of the latest cases are in Sofia, four in Yambol, two in Pleven, two in Blagoevgrad, one case in each Bourgas, Kyssutendil, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv, Sliven and Haskovo.
The total confirmed cases in the country now is 2004.
A 4 year old child, who tested positive for the virus, was admitted to a hospital in Sofia.
Four new cases were confirmed among the medical professionals – one doctor and three nurses.
The fatalities are 93.
