Code yellow weather alert for torrential rain was issued for 2 districts in Western Bulgaria, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences said on 20th of May. It warns that up to 35 litres of sq. m. are expected in the mountain regions and that floods are possible.

The heavy rain may cause difficulties for drivers because of low visibility.
