Bulgaria’s Top Tennis Player Grigor Dimitrov Wins ATP World Tour Finals

Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov claimed the biggest title in his career, beating Belgian David Goffen 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 in the ATP Finals Tournament match in London on 19th of November. This is his fifth victory over today’s opponent.

Dimitrov became the first man to win the ATP Finals on his debut appearance since Spain's Alex Corretja won the season-ending title on his debut in 1998.

The 26-year-old Dimitrov remained unbeaten throughout the tournament. The victory earned him 1,500 points for the world rankings. He will receive a cheque for $ 2,549,000.

"It has been a tremendous two weeks for me," Dimitrov said after the game.

"It is such an honour to play here. This week has been one of the best I have had. David is such a tremendous guy," added Dimitrov. "Congratulations to him. He is one of the most improved players this past week and months. It was an unbelievable effort. I am very proud to play him in the final."

"I am lost for words. My team has been unbelievable. I thank my family," he said.

Dimitrov will end the year ranked third in the world.
