Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borissov held talks with Russian ambassador Anatoly Makarov on 25th of May.
Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borissov held talks with Russian ambassador Anatoly Makarov on 25th of May. The meeting, which started at 11.30 am, was arranged long time ago. This was clarified by the PM’s office, saying that it was not related to Russian President Vladimir Putin's statement on 24th of May that the Slavic alphabet originated from Macedonian lands.
Borissov and Makarov discussed bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Russia, including Belene NPP and Turkish Stream project.
Asked whether they talked about Putin’s statement about the Slavic alphabet, the ambassador said: "We celebrated the holiday with you and I attended all the events dedicated to the holiday in Bulgaria yesterday. With Prime Minister Borissov, we work for good bilateral relations."
