Prime Minister Boyko Borissov held talks with the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. The meeting took place within the framework of the ongoing World Economic Forum in Davos on January 21.
The two discussed current international issues, the focus of their conversation being the results of the Berlin peace conference on Libya. " You did a great job. With these shuttles from Chancellor Merkel to Moscow, that Presidents Putin and Erdogan, Secretary of State Pompeo, Merkel-Macron were also present, I am optimistic," said Prime Minister Borissov.
Çavuşoğlu emphasised that all participants in the peace conference in Berlin agreed on the understanding that military action in Libya should stop. “We must put the weapons aside and talk politically,” he said.
Borissov and Çavuşoğlu also discussed the Turkish Foreign Minister’s upcoming visit to Sofia later this month.
