Bulgaria’s Parliament on April 3 voted to extend the state of emergency for another month, until May 13. The motion was adopted with 122 votes in favour, 47 against and 7 abstentions. The state of emergency was declared on March 13, for a month, and aimed at limiting the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
The proposal for the extension was put forward by the Council of Ministers on April 2, 2020.
The MPs also adopted at first reading the update of the state budget and the law on changes to the Energy Act.
The update of the measures during state of emergency were also adopted.
