Bulgaria's GDP growth ranks fifth in the EU for the first quarter of 2019
Bulgaria ranks fifth in economic growth among the 28 member countries in the European union for the first quarter of this year, according to Eurostat.
For the first quarter of this year the country's GDP is up by 1,2%.
Member states that see greater economic growth for the same period are Croatia - 1,8%, followed by Hungary and Poland - 1,5% and Romania - 1,3%.
The GDP growth of the 19 states in the Eurozone has reached in the first quarter 0.4% on a quarterly basis and 1,2% year-on-year, Eurostat reports.
To compare, in the forth quarter of 2018 the GDP of the countries that share the euro grew to 0,2% on monthly basis and 1,2% year-on-year.
The total GDP growth of the EU for the first quarter of the current year is 0,5% on a quarterly basis and 1.5% year-on-year.
During the forth quarter of last year the GDP of the whole region increased by 0,3%, compared to that of the third quarter, and 1,5% year-on-year.
