According to data of the polling agency Alpha Research as at 19.00, the first exit polls show that the ruling centre-right GERB party took the largest share of votes in the country’s European Parliament elections on May 26. Alpha research show GERB at 32,%, Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) at 23,2%, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF)at 13,%, IMRO at % and Democratic Bulgaria on the verge of the the electoral threshold of 5,9%.
According to Gallup International the results are as follows: GERB – 30,5%, BSP – 25,4%, MRF – 12,8%, IMRO – 8% and Democratic Bulgaria - 6,5%.
According to Alpha
research results, GERB will have 7 seats
in the European Parliament, BSP will have 5, the MRF will have 3, IMRO – 1 and Democratic
Bulgaria - 1.
