Bulgarian authorities disrupt crime ring that sent heroin and weapons to the UK

A crime gang dealing in arms trafficking was disrupted in Bulgaria on September 18. The operation was conducted by the directorate for Combatting Organised Crime, the Specialised Prosecutor's Office and Sofia police, together with anti-mafia authorities in the UK

The members of the crime group sent guns, parts of automatic weapons, ammunition and heroin from Sofia to the UK. For this purpose they used courier services. Six people have been detained, including a British citizen wanted through an European arrest warrant.
