The Governments of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia will sign a protocol on cooperation in the fight against trafficking in human beings. The document will be signed in Ohrid on July 23.
It provides for cooperation on the support and protection of victims of trafficking in human beings and the exchange of experience between the competent institutions of the two countries. There will also be awareness campaignson prevention of trafficking.
The two countries will work together to support and care for victims. On Bulgaria’s behalf, the Protocol will be signed by Deputy Prime Minister for Public Order and Security and Defence Minister Krasimir Karakachanov.
