Albena seaside resort closes night bars and clubs as anti-epidemic measure

The first charter flights with tourists for the North Black Sea coast landed in Varna a few days ago. Some of the German guests are accommodated in Albena resort.

The anti-epidemic measures in Albena are among the strictest. They start from the barrier of the holiday village, where every car and vehicle is disinfected. Umbrellas and sunbeds on the beach are disinfected every morning. Disinfection takes places regularly during the day. The same is applied to hotels and restaurants.

Hristo Penev, Deputy Director of Operations at Albena AD, told BNT that last night a decision was made to close all nightclubs in the resort. This will reduce the crowding of many people. "All rooms are treated with nanotechnology, which is German. In addition, each room where our guests are accommodated is first disinfected with this technology, then with detergents and before accommodating guests additionally the whole room is being disinfected, " he explained.

Guests are served at the buffet tables, at points where they themselves want to have self-service and use gloves. All forks, knives and utensils are individually packaged.

On tennis courts, all balls are disinfected, separately the machine with which they are collected is also disinfected. "We try to minimize the guest's contact to key surfaces where there is a possibility of the virus to stick to," added Hristo Penev.

According to him, the interest in Albena is growing every day.

Velina Gyumova, senior sales manager at Albena AD, said that there are currently about 2,500 people in the complex. "We already have 8 working hotels. We are committed not to fill the base 100%. The first German guests arrived on June 27, and yesterday the first guests from the Baltic countries arrived," she added
